Valerie Ann Patterson

Valerie Ann Patterson, 48, of Stuttgart died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at her home. Valerie was born Aug. 11, 1962, in Stuttgart to Cleo and Laverne Morris Patterson. She was a graduate of Stuttgart High School and member of First United Methodist Church. She was owner of Val's Leather and Lace and most recently had been a substitute teacher. She loved the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors are her daughter, Dalton Shea Gulker of Stuttgart; her mother, Laverne Patterson of Stuttgart; her sister, Vivian Fisher and husband Gus of Mabelvale; and two nieces, Cassady and Emma. A memorial service, officiated by Dr. David W. Bush, will be 2 p.m Tuesday at First United Methodist Church. Cremation arrangements are by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
