Gladys Alene Sommer

GLADYS "ALENE" SOMMER, 64, of Little Rock passed away Jan. 22, 2011 after a lengthy, courageous battle with illness. She was born April 7, 1946 in Little Rock, Ark. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Glenda Ann Sommer and her parents, Kenneth and Mary Dunlap. Alene is survived by her husband, Jimmy C. Sommer Sr.; her son, Jimmy C. Sommer Jr.; daughter-in-law, Teresa Sommer; three brothers, Kenny, Pete and Wayne Dunlap of Little Rock; four sisters, Mary Rushing and Janice Hughes of Benton and Debi Frost and Robin Warbritton of Vilonia; four grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home (501)455-5800, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
