Eddie Mac Harper

Eddie Mac Harper of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 8, 1956 in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of the late Preston Edward and Maxine Foster Harper. He was a member of Dermott Baptist Church and a graduate of Sheridan High School, Class of 1975, and also a graduate of UAM. Eddie Mac was a football coach at White Hall Junior High and was an avid outdoorsman. Eddie Mac died Monday, January 24, 2011 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 54. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Harper Woodard. Survivors: wife, Carole Jean Jackson Harper of Sheridan; son, Heath Harper and wife Brooke of Little Rock; daughter, Heather Harper of Conway; sister, Mindy and husband DeHaan Thornton of Sheridan; niece, Stephanie Goodman; nephews, Lee Woodard and Harper Thornton and a host of cousins, friends and students. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Bob Harper and Rev. Clint Ritchie. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation, Heritage Program, 2 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 or donors favorite charity. Pallbearers will be Mike Miley, Scott Ausbrooks, David Fowler, David Reynolds, Mike Knight, Cotton Knight, Scott Harper, Tom DeBlack, Donald Mac Burchfield, Herman Jackson and Dr. Scott Winston.
