Jim York

Jim York, 57, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 24th,2011. He was born February 23rd, 1953 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Harley Lee and Corinne Reeves York. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Mallory York; and his grandparents, Johnny and Hazel Reeves. Jim had a passion for music, and could play just about every musical instrument. He was a Scottish Rite Mason, and a teacher for the Job Corp. He will be missed and remembered as a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Cherishing his memory are his wife of 33 years, Marie York; three sons, Nathaniel York, Paul Lewis York, and Mark York; two grandchildren, Mark York Jr, and Cruz York; two sisters, Linda York, and Wanda York; one brother, Tommy York; many nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 29th, 2011 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock (501) 835-3515.
