Barbara Gray Smith Owens

Barbara Gray Smith Owens, 82, Died January 25, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born November 29, 1928 to Zena and Joseph Gray. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Little Rock High (Central) in 1946 and then attended Quachita Baptist University. She retired from The Federal Reserve Bank in 1988 after 35 years of service. She was an active member of Second Baptist Church downtown until her health began declining. She is survived by her daughter Donna Smith, her grandson Gray Smith Carter; her granddaughter Casey Carter; two sisters, Eugenia Gray Dowden and Marcella Gray Allen; three nieces; one nephew and one great nephew. A gathering in her memory will be held in the Fireplace room at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 28th, 2011.
