Sammy Neil Cole, 66, of Benton passed away to be with his Lord and Savior on January 26, 2011. He was born on August 15, 1944 to the late Nathan and Thelma Marie Cole in Alexandria, Louisiana. Sammy worked for Orbit Valve Company for 23 years, Water Users for 17 years and was a volunteer Firefighter with Salem Fire Department for 23 years. His most treasured times were time spent with his family. Mr. Cole is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Grant. Sammy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Martha Cole; one son, Douglas Cole; one daughter, Donna Perkins and her husband, Barry Perkins; three grandchildren, Nikki, Logan and Laydon Perkins; three brothers, Jimmy and his wife, Mary Cole, Timmy and his wife, Lesia Cole and Tony and his wife, Ramona Cole and many friends and family who all loved him and will miss him dearly. A celebration of Sammy's life will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 12 noon at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant with Pastor DeWayne Bowen officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 28, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks for all the prayers and support from our family and friends. Thanks to Saline Memorial Hospital, UAMS and Saline Hospice for the special care during and after the stroke. Pallbearers will be, Frank Kret, Wesley Barnett, John Robertson, William Bell, Billy McDanel, Bill Taylor and Cecil Ferguson.
