SHARON LYNNETTE PORTER went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Jan. 28, 2011. "Lynn" was born Aug. 4, 1970 to Gerald E. and Sharon Payne in El Dorado, Ark. She was preceded in death by grandparents Cecil and Eunice Payne of New Edinburg, Ark. and James T. Walker of Crossett. Lynn is survived by her husband, Todd Porter and daughters Taylor and Lauren of the home in Maumelle, Ark. She is also survived by her parents and a brother, Michael (Erica) Payne of Bossier City, La.; in-laws, Alan and Ella Porter of Fayetteville, N.C.; sister-in-law, Nikki (Ben) German of North Carolina and her grandmother, Rose Walker of Crossett. Lynn has nephews, Jordan (Kelli) Payne of Benton, La. and Benjamin German of North Carolina; nieces Candace Payne of Bossier City, Morgan Payne, Raley Payne and great niece Tenley Payne of Benton, La. She leaves a host of friends and relatives who will miss her. Having attended K-12 in the Crossett Public Schools, she attended UAM and then on to UAMS where she received a degree in medical technology. Lynn was employed at UAMS working in labs and for years in the blood bank. At all places she was blessed with friends who remain faithful and supportive. Lynn was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of North Little Rock where her funeral will be held 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 31, 2011. Burial will be 3 p.m., Monday at Crossett Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Ron Brown, Greg Kelley, Conrad Browning, Tony Mitchell, Tommy McGehee and Bert Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Brummett, Al Moore, James Holdiness and Gene Daily. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home (501) 224-8300.
