Nell Rose Burnell Graham

Nell Rose Burnell Graham, 87, of Little Rock and Mount Ida, Arkansas died on February 28, 2011. She was born February 20, 1924 at in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Ida Litterest and Harry Burnell. She grew up in Hot Springs and El Paso, Texas. Having lost all of her family by the time she was 18, Nell owned and operated the family drug store in Hot Springs until she met and married G.L. Graham of Mt. Ida, Arkansas in 1945. Nell is survived by one son, Gregory Graham and his wife Diane, of Little Rock, Arkansas and two grandchildren, Sarah E. Goin and her husband Cooper, and Andrew B. Graham, both of Little Rock, Arkansas. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and her two brothers, Harry Burnell, Jr., and Charles Burnell. Nell was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock, Arkansas and All Saints Catholic Church, Mt. Ida, Arkansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 2nd, at 10 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church, Mt. Ida, Arkansas with Rev. Norbert Rappold, Celebrant. Internment will follow at the Mount Ida Cemetery under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 1st, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thornton Funeral Home. A Rosary service will be held at 9:15 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Mount Ida, Arkansas. Memorials in Lieu of flowers should be made to the All Saints Catholic Church, Mt. Ida, Arkansas or Baptist Health Foundation, Little Rock, Arkansas.
