Ethel Laverne King

Ethel Laverne King, 73, of England, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 26th, 2011. She was born in Cornerstone, Arkansas, September, 8th, 1937 to Melvin Reed and Effie Nugent Reed. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and she retired from the Arkansas State Hwy. Department after working there for 19 years. Laverne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 35 years, Walter King Jr.; six brothers and sisters; nieces, nephews and extended family. She is survived by two sons: Mike King of England and David King and his wife Jennifer of Heber Springs; two grandchildren: Chandler and McKenzie King both of Cabot. Services will be Thursday, March 3rd, 2011 graveside at Union Valley Cemetery at 10 a.m. with Bro. B.C. Hudson officiating.
