Travis M. Handley

Travis M. Handley of Ward, formerly of Scotland. died March 3, 2011. Mr. Handley was a veteran of WWII and a retired Gin engineer. He was a member of the Church of Christ and served the Lord 58 years. Preceding him death are his wife of 49 years, Bettye Handley, Jeannine Handley, wife of 17 years, and a son, Mike Handley. Survivors include three daughters, Susie Smith and Jeannie Vick of Ward, and Freda Kirk of Tyronza, one sister, Faye Lowery of Springdale, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Handley was loved and will be missed by his family and numerous friends. A visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m., Saturday, March 5 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Memorial Services will follow the visitation. A Graveside Service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, March 6 at Tyronza Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Arkansas Boy's Ranch.
