Charles Eldon Henson

Charles Eldon Henson, 80, of Conway, Arkansas, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at his home. He was born June 19, 1930, in Damascus, Arkansas, a son of the late J.W. and Nellie (Hensley) Henson. Mr. Henson was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Henson and a sister, Erma Dean Austell. Charles was a member of First Baptist Church in Damascus. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from UCA; and worked for 33 years in several Arkansas schools, as a teacher, counselor and principal. He was a member of Faulkner County Retired Teachers' Association. He was an Army Veteran. Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Edwa Dee (Copeland) Henson of Conway; his step-daughter, Judy McKnight of Conway and her two sons, Brett and Bart McKnight; Brett's children, Luke and Kate McKnight all of Little Rock; nieces, Rita Kaye Payne; Junita Seers; Joyce Copeland; nephews, Tony Henson and Gary Copeland. Funeral will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
