Lois "Irene" Williams, 101, of Bluffton, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born February 21, 1910 in Bluffton to the late Taylor and Pamelia Hendershott. She lived at the Yell County Nursing Home for the last 11 years enjoying many dear friends and loving care. Her life's passion was her family, friends and her service to God. She was gifted with prayer and will be remembered for her passionate prayers. She was a member of the Church of God. She was a member of the Gravelly Chapter of the Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron several times and served in each point of the star. She was honored as a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and her faithful service. She was active in her community and her church. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Williams and five siblings. Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Claude Williams and wife Pat of North Little Rock, Ark.; daughter, Ruby Grace Williams Holmes and husband Billy of Harrisburg, Pa.; five grandchildren, Gregory Holmes and wife Susan of Johnston, Pa.; Randall Holmes and wife, June of Butler, Pa.; Steven Williams and wife Anitta of North Little Rock, Ark.; Cindy Evans of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Pamelia Hooper and husband Dick of Little Rock, Ark.; five great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Rover First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Shipley officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m.before service. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home Danville.
