Walter E. Jenckes

Walter Jenckes, 81, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord on March 9th, 2011. He was born in Fresno, California on May 18th, 1929. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars he also served his country for over 20 years in two branches of the military, he worked for the St. Vincent's Infirmary and retired as groundskeeper and was a member of Cedar Heights Baptist Church. Walter is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Hart Jenckes, his parents Chester Jencks and Marjorie Wilcox, and his brother David Thiel. He is survived by his brother Clifford Jenckes of Michigan and his beloved poodle, Baby, and many other family members who will miss very much. A special thank you to Laynette and Lutzia from Hospice Home Care for the wonderful care they gave to him. A visitation will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 5th, 2011 followed by funeral services at Cedar Heights Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park, services will be officiated by Pastor Charlie Winters. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cedar Heights Christian Academy Scholarship Fund, c/o CHBC 14510 Cedar Heights Rd., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
