Leland D. Martinez

Leland D. Martinez, 64, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011. He was born August 25, 1946 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Joe D. and Verla Smelker Martinez. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam conflict, loved to hunt and fish and was a member of Rhodes Deer Camp. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jesusita Martinez, of Jacksonville; two daughters, Della Vance and husband, Robert, of De Kalb, Texas, Traci Martinez, of Jacksonville; two grandsons, Corey and Cody Kiefer; mother, Verla Martinez, of Colorado; and three sisters, Barb Seagle and husband Dennie, of Jacksonville, Donna Gross and husband, Earl, of California and Jolene Ems, of Colorado. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
