Betty L. (Hood) Hurd

BETTY L. (HOOD) HURD, age 77, of Little Rock, Ark. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 9, 2011. She was born Sept. 27, 1933 in Waveland, Ark. to the late James H. Hood and Lillie M. Hood. Betty graduated high school, beauty school and had owned her own beauty shop for a number of years when she passed away. Betty had great pleasure in helping ladies of all ages to look beautiful on the outside and be beautiful on the inside. She was preceded in death by her parents. Betty is survived by her husband, John M. Hurd; brother, James L. Hood (Sue); nephew, James Stephen (Steve) Hood and niece, Lisa D. Hood. Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2011 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, 12400 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. Family will receive friends following the service.
