NAIMEH K. ALLEY Sept. 21, 1931 – March 10, 2011 On March 10, 2011, Naimeh K. Alley passed away at peace while surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her brother, Fuad Akel; sister, Nellie Kassees; five sons, Sam (Janet), Dr. Michael (Raeda), Wayne (Clair), Essa (Grace), Haitham (Tina); her 16 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Naimeh was preceded in death by her husband, Khamis Saleem Alley; her parents Isaac and Jameileh Akel; brothers, Mitri, Essa and Nabih; and sisters Badia and Misadeh. Naimeh was born on Sept. 21, 1931 in her cherished Holy Land of Jerusalem. Surrounded by her large family, Naimeh enjoyed a blessed youth there. On April 24, 1955, she was married to Khamis, and together they raised their five sons. Always devoted to giving their Sons the greatest opportunities, Khamis and Naimeh brought the family to the United States in 1970 and settled in central Arkansas, a place she called home for the next 41 years. One could most aptly describe Naimeh as a woman completely dedicated to God and family. She embodied the role of a true matriarch as she raised her large family to be built on the foundation of Faith and Education. Dignified and strong, Naimeh affected everyone she was around in a positive way. She was well known as an exceptional cook who loved the opportunity to feed people. Naimeh was intensely committed to the service of the Church and her Orthodox Christian faith. Her legacy will live on through the people she has touched, and she will be very dearly missed by all. Visitation is set for Sunday, March 13 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., immediately followed by the Trisagion service officiated by Rev. Dr. Nicholas J.
