CECIL B. HILL SR., 93, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 12, 2011. He was a retired businessman and owner of Hill and Twin City Amusement Companies. Born in Nashville, Ark., on May 13, 1917, he was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He loved family gatherings and entertained his grandchildren with his magic tricks. He was a passionate golfer and one of the founders of Western Hills Country Club. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Isabel Ambort Hill and grandson, Joseph Hill, he is survived by his seven children, Cecil B. Hill Jr., Diane Blackwood and husband, Glenn, Danny Hill and wife, Lynn, Gary Hill and wife, Linda, Chris Hill and wife, Sharon, Missy Carmack and husband, Jeff, and Betty Martin and husband, Tim. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, followed by the Rosary at 7 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). A private family burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the War Memorial Golf Association, 5511 W. Markham, Little Rock, Ark., 72205.
