Twyla Watson Stewart

Twyla Watson Stewart, 86, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Murfreesboro, Ark., died Sunday, March 13, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on May 6, 1924 in Highland, Ark., the daughter of the late Walker and Allie Watson. She graduated from Murfreesboro High School and the University of Arkansas, taught in the Murfreesboro school system for many years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Ark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lenard Stewart; and two brothers, Millard Watson of North Little Rock, Ark., and Ray Watson of Foreman, Ark. Survivors include one son, Kenneth L. Stewart of Dallas, Texas; three granddaughters, Elizabeth Stewart, Payton Stewart and Avery Stewart all of Dallas, Texas; and one brother, Hoyt Watson of Denton, Texas. Many other relatives and friends mourn her passing. Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro with Troy Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Memorial Park under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home-Murfreesboro. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Ark., from 11:30 to 12:45 immediately prior to the funeral. The family will be in the Fellowship Hall at the First Baptist Church.
