Carlton R. Newby, 69, of North Little Rock died Friday, March 11, 2011. He was born July 24, 1941 in Levy, Arkansas to Thomas and Florence Springer Newby. He was a retired Army veteran with 31 years of service and owned Creative Framers Craft Shop. He is survived by his daughter, Molly (Chris) Banister, of Navarre, Florida; three grandchildren, Joseph Dalessio, Lacy Dalessio and Nicole Banister; brother, William Newby, of Pensacola, Florida; cousin, P.J. Smith, of Jacksonville; brother-in-law, Roger Chesney, of Little Rock; and many very close friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Nelda Newby. Memorials may be made in his name to American Heart Association, 909 West 2nd Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201. Services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday at Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene, 9860 Brockington Road, Sherwood, Ark. 72120 with Rev. Jon Carnes officiating.
