Christopher Allen Marg, 30, died of heart failure March 9, 2011, while in Trinidad on a work assignment. He was born at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base on July 7, 1980 to Col. (Ret.) James and Sondra (Forstrom) Marg. Christopher graduated from Cabot Senior High School in Cabot, Ark., May 15, 1998. He attended Winona State University from January 1999 until he graduated in May 2004 with a degree in computer science. While attending college, Christopher lived in the St. Martin's Lutheran Church campus house. He worked in Winona for Peerless Chain and for three years at Goltz Pharmacy. After graduation, Christopher worked for two years in the Pharmacy at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., then moved to Inver Grove Heights where he worked in the fraud department at Best Buy Headquarters. While working at Best Buy, Christopher attended Brown College, where he graduated on Dec. 20, 2008 with a degree in computer game design. In June of 2010 he began working in Eagan, Minn. for Wyde Corporation, an international software developer for a variety of industries, as a computer software developer then as an integrator. Christopher was staying in a company owned house while he was working in Trinidad. He didn't get up for work on Wednesday morning, and was found unresponsive in bed. Cause for heart failure has yet to be determined. Christopher was an Eagle Scout with a passion for reading and video gaming. He was a kind and gentle person. He leaves behind his parents, James and Sondra Marg, a sister, Elizabeth Marg, and grandparents, Donald and Ruth Marg. Christopher also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Everett and Priscilla Forstrom. Visitation will be at Martin-Myhre Funeral Home in Winona on Sunday, March 20 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. A second visitation is offered at St. Martins Lutheran Church in Winona from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, March 21 with funeral immediately following at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona. Refreshments will follow at the church. Pallbearers will be Ken Marg, Daniel Marg, Michael Paul, Kyle Marg, Derek Forstrom, and David Landon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Christopher Marg memorial fund at St. Martins Church, 328 E. Broadway St., Winona, Minn. 55987, or the Christopher Marg memorial fund at Our Savior Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 1214, Cabot, Ark. 72023.
