Jana Jones-Tolson, 66, of White Hall, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born February 21, 1945 in Borger, Texas, daughter of the late Walker and Vera Eppler Jones. Jana was reared and received her early education in Borger, graduating from Borger High School. She earned her Bachelor's in Education from West Texas State University, now West Texas A&M. She was an English teacher at Watson Chapel Junior High School until retiring in May of 2010. Mrs. Tolson was a member of First Baptist Church Pine Bluff, where she sang in the choir. She loved animals and volunteered for the Jefferson County Humane Society. Jana was also an avid doll collector. She even has a room in the house her family referred to as the "doll room." Survivors include her husband, Roy Tolson, whom she married December 30, 1972 in Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Virginia Louise "Ginny" Tolson Peyton, son-in-law, Steven, and grandson Henry Peyton of North Little Rock; two sisters, Gayla Sims and Krista Grimes, both of Houston, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Robinson's. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Gordon Topping officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison.
