Thomas Leon Reinold, 86, of Russellville formerly of Sylvan Hills in North Little Rock went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 17, 2011. He was born Oct. 31, 1924 in Westville, Okla. to the late Barnard Henry Reinold and Wannie Haumpton Reniold. He was raised by his step-mother Irene Dering Reinold. He was a retired Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor with the Arkansas National Guard at Camp Robinson, a veteran of the U. S. Navy and the ARNG. He served in the Korean Conflict and WWII and a member of the American Legion. He became one of the first hired at Camp Robinson in 1947 in the aviation field and continued there until his retirement. He was a member of House of Praise Church in Russellville, Mt. Sinai Lodge No. 749 and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the Arkansas Activity Association where he traveled the state as a Referee and Umpire for various sports. He built the Sylvan Optimist Club Athletic fields where he coached baseball and was a member of the Sylvan Hills volunteer Fire Department. In his younger years he was known as Feisty but later he was affectionately called Pops. He grew up in Fayetteville where he met and married the love of his life, Katheryn Belle Rankin and shared 46 years together. He is survived by his wife, Mary Patterson Reinold; three sons, Jerry W. Reinold of Greenbrier, David P. Reinold and wife Brenda of Russellville and Jimmy Reinold and wife Margaret of Conway; two sisters, June Foster of Nevada and Lorene Griffin of Arizona; one brother, Bernie Reinold of Nevada; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and step-son, Rick Blake and wife Sue of Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katheryn; daughter-in-law, Polly Ann Reinold; step-son, Joe Blake; brothers, Ervin Frank Reinold and Lewis Reinold. Services are 1 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2011 in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with burial with Military Honors in Rest Hills Cemetery in Sherwood.
