Betty Kathryn Gray went to be with her Lord on March 23, 2011 at her home in Cabot, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family and best friend, Judy Cossey. Betty was a Christian. Betty was born on February 17th in Griffithville, Arkansas to the late J.W. (Jack) and Pauline (Bailey) Ausburn. Ask her and she would tell you that her age was not a topic of discussion. She appeared ageless and was a beautiful, kind person with a wonderful sense of humor, who enjoyed life to its fullest. She was retired. Other than her parents, Betty was preceded by an infant daughter, Pamela Gray; son, Johnny Gray; daughter, Karen Hardesty; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Bob Pitchford; brother-in-law, Victor Clark; sons-in-law, David Dye and Kelly Ray. Betty is survived by her daughter, Jacquie Ray of Kensett; three sisters, Sandra Clark of Kensett, Nancy Snelson (Charles) of McRae, Elaine Honey (Doug) of Kensett; seven grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren, and grand dog, Sir Silverton, plus a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to say thank you to all who took the time to visit and to those who made her last birthday so special. She said it was one of the best days of her life. Donations may be made to Simmons First Bank, 401 S. Main St., Searcy, Arkansas 72143 to a Benevolent Fund in Betty Gray's name. Visitation will be Sunday March 27, 2011 at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe from 4-6 p.m. and a Celebration of Life Monday March 28th at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Kensett, Arkansas with burial in Kensett Cemetery. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com.
