Jewell Wilkinson

Jewell Wilkinson, 88, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 in Little Rock. Mrs. Wilkinson was born October 9, 1922 in Gregory, Arkansas to the late Luther Provance and the late Roxie Taylor Provance. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 76 years and she was Arkansas Mother of the Year in 1983. She is survived by two sons, Millard R. Wilkinson and wife, Bobbie, of Hartwell, Georgia and Billy L. Wilkinson and wife, Karen, of Princeton, Louisiana; two daughters, Wanda McIntosh-Crouch and husband, Malcolm, of West Helena and Geraldine Cross and husband, Lelon, of Little Rock; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Josie Sullivan of Crossville, Tennessee; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Wilkinson; two brothers, George Provance and Verly Provance; and a sister, Anne Castleberry. Services for Jewell Wilkinson will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Pastor Dora Smith will officiate. Pallbearers are Mrs. Wilkinson's grandsons: Mike Wilkinson, Alan Wilkinson, Monte McIntosh, Eric McIntosh, Brock McIntosh, Jason Cross and Billy "Bo" Wilkinson, Jr. Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
