Anna Laura Liszewski

Anna Laura Liszewski, age 72, of Benton, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant. She was born in Paragould, Ark. on July 14, 1938 to Cas and Esta Anderson. Mrs. Liszewski graduated from Greene County Tech High School in 1956 and went on to obtain her nursing degree from UALR in 1978. Prior to her retirement, she was the head nurse for the oncology unit of St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. She was the 1st Director of the Saline County Senior Adult Center and volunteered at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton and a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved gardening and her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Liszewski and two brothers, Herschel Anderson and J.C. Anderson. Survivors include her children, Angela and Fritz Miller of Arcadia, Calif., Ron Liszewski of Benton, Chris and Phil Richardson of Benton, and Jim and Wendy Liszewski of Pheonix, Ariz.; siblings, Joe Anderson of Batesville, Ark., Jerry Anderson of Kona, Hawaii, James Anderson of Memphis, Tenn., John E. Anderson of Chapin, S.C., Anita Baker of Oklahoma City, Okla., Linda Dollins of Jonesboro, Ark., and June Wooten of Lexa, Ark.; grandchildren, Crisda and Seth Bergers of Austin, Texas, Laura and Jeremy Snyder of Greenbrae, Calif., Heather and Adam Fite of Fayetteville, Ark., Mike Miller of Arcadia, Calif., Stan Liszewski of Benton, Zak Liszewski of College Station, Texas, Melissa Miller of Westwood, Calif., Lee Richardson of Benton, Michelle Liszewski of Benton, and great-grandchild, Jacob Bergers of Austin, Texas. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton with Father Ejimofor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House, 23157 I-30, Bryant, Ark. 72022.
