Frances Boykin Bowlan

Frances Boykin Bowlan, 85, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 27, 2011. She was born on March 9, 1926 in Okemah, Oklahoma a daughter of James Burton Boykin and Anna Lay Jennings Boykin. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the church choir, a local garden club and a local antique club. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Gilbert Bowlan and a sister, Faye Boykin Higley. Survivors include two nephews, Mike Higley of Keota, Oklahoma and Greg Higley of Arlington, Texas; a niece, Holly Freeman of Oklahoma City; an aunt, Jessie McQuerry of Pleasanton,Texas; and two cousins, Billie Jo Neeley (Ruell) of Swansea, Illinois and Wanda Littlepage of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service with Dr. W. David Moore officiating.
