Mary Sartin

Mary Lucille Burks Sartin, 82, of Beebe passed away on March 29. She was born on September 27, 1928 to Ernest Burks and Clemmie Wallace Burks. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in England before moving to Beebe at which time she became a member of Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Sartin, her parents, as well as three sisters and three brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Cathy (Elza Guy) Kirkwood of Beebe; two granddaughters, Cathy Yvonne (Alan) Kidder and Anissa Gassaway both of Beebe; one grandson, EG Kirkwood II of North Little Rock; four great-grandchildren, Matthew and Justin Kidder of Beebe and Alec and Abby Gassaway of Beebe. She is also survived by one brother, Leroy (Vernell) Burks of Furlow and many nieces and nephews. Thanks to a dear friend Margaret Rodgers, employees of Golden Years Manor Nursing Home in Lonoke and the Bonsai team of Ar Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Arkansas Hospice. Services will be held Friday, April 1, 2011 at Wilson Chapel in England at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
