Richard William Davis

Richard William Davis, 70, of Cabot, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2012. He was born Nov. 7, 1941 in Galeton, Pa. to the late Ray and Lettie Shelly Davis. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved caring for animals. Richard was a born again Christian who believed in the word of faith and he was ready to be with Jesus. He worked many years in Arkansas as a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Davis. Richard is survived by his wife, Connie Walls Davis of Cabot; his four daughters, RaDonna Johnson of Aiea, Hawaii, Stephanie Ballew and her husband, Vernal, Marcy Cockrell and her husband, Dennis and Jessica Faught and her husband, Michael, all of Cabot; nine grandchildren, Xavier Ballew and his wife, Holly, Robbie Ballew, Lyndsay Ballew, Lena Ray, Hailey Pruitt, Kyle Johnson, Keith Ray, Landrey Pruitt and Cameron Johnson; one great-granddaughter, Coralynn Ballew; and a sister, Dorothy Hares of Newark, N.Y. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at Victory Baptist Church, with Rev. Ben Leonard officiating. Arrangements are by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
