Betty Mae Sims Conley, 72, of Scott; with her family's hand on her and the song Amazing Grace being sung by a family friend she went to meet Jesus February 4, 2012. She was born July 15, 1939 to Roy and Melvina Sims in Wilmot, Arkansas. She grew up in England, Arkansas where she and her husband raised six children. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister, one daughter, 6 grandchildren and one son-in-law. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Irvin Conley; children,, Rebecca (Gary) Phillips of Marion, Arkansas, Lou Ann (Roy) Bullock of Keo, Arkansas, Tony (Charlotte) Conley of Hurlburt Field, Florida, Curtis (Hope) Conley of Ward, Arkansas, Rosemary (Mark) Walker of Sherwood, Arkansas and Shaun (Karen) Conley of Joplin, Missouri; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Guess, Lela Russell; brother, Oscar Sims all of California and her pets; Sweetie and Pipsqueak. She graduated from England High School in 1956 at the age of 16. On her 18th birthday she married the love of her life. At the age of 44 she entered nursing school and in 1985 she began her career as a licensed practical nurse. She retired from the VA in 2009 after 35 total years of service in the medical field. She was a faithful Christian as evidenced in her passion to sing and serve in the church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller England Funeral Home 202 Stuttgart Highway England, Arkansas. Service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, at Cornerstone Worship Center 301 Campbell Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas with Reverend Jack Jones and Reverend Thomas Whitaker officiating.
