Iona Gwin

Iona Howerton Gwin, age 78, of Conway, Ark., passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. She was born Oct. 2, 1933 in Bluffton, Ark. to Robert Silas and Bertha Gertrude James Howerton. She was an aide for the Conway Human Development Center and a member of the Bigelow Assembly of God. Survivors include three sons, Larry Paul Gwin of Golconda, Ill., Ricky Dale and Randall Lynn Gwin, both of Conway; two daughters, Patsy Jean Cullum of Vilonia, Brenda Kay White of Conway; a sister, Margaret Bryant of Dumas; two brothers, Bobby Howerton of Visalia, Calif., J.E. Howerton of Marianna; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 at the Harris chapel, with Sister Euna Gibby officiating; burial will be at Volman Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
