Martha Carlene Hester

Martha Carlene Hester, 85, of Lonoke went home to be with her Lord Dec. 30, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Jake Hester, daughter Kay Hester, mother and father Carl and Margaret High Plummer, brother, Bobby Plummer and sister, Twala Plummer. She is survived by daughter Donna Hester, one grandson Chad (Misty Hatfield) Hester, three great-granddaughters. Hannah, Sarah, and Leah Hester, one brother, Dub Plummer, sister, Betsy Lacy, all of Lonoke, and sister, Joan Herring of Stuttgart. She was care giver to two special young people, John and Julie Pennington of Lonoke, also surviving, one step-daughter Shirley Hobbs of Batesville, Miss., and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2 at Grace Chapel, Smyrna Road with funeral services following at 2 p.m., arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery.
