Hazel Lee Wilcox, 90, of Little Rock, died peacefully in her sleep January 2, 2012 arriving safely in her Lord and Savior's arms. Hazel was born April 3, 1921 in Bigelow, Arkansas to the late John and Vera Lee. Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Metz Wilcox and by her son, Dennis Gale Wilcox as well as five brothers and one sister. Hazel was a devoted wife, mother, mamma, and great-grandma leaving behind tons of cherished memories. Also, she was a member of Maumelle Assembly of God. She is survived by two children and their spouses, Dale Wilcox (Gail) of Little Rock, and Carolyn Wallace (Tom) of Little Rock; her sister, Dorothy Garrett of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Shannon Wilcox Mangham (Keith) of Hot Springs, Sean Wilcox (Cheryl) of Benton, Kevin Wilcox (Jennifer), Kay Wilcox Smith (Shane), Thomas Wallace (Brooke), and Blair Wallace, all of Little Rock, as well as eleven great-grandchildren that she loved dearly. The service to celebrate Hazel's life will be 11 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Harris Chapel with Rev. Michael McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
