Judy Kay Oliver

Judy Kay Reddin Oliver, age 65, passed away on January 2, 2012 at Baptist Health Medical System in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on September 3, 1946 in Hampton, Arkansas at her family home. Judy's parents, Otis H, Reddin and Nina Alpha Thomason Reddin as well as her eldest son Kenneth Scott Nowlin and one granddaughter, Mystery Elizabeth Nowlin, preceded her in death. Judy was a retired laboratory technician and phlebotomist who worked at Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado for about 30 years and she most recently worked in the Calhoun County Clerk's Office. Her contributions to community affairs and events were many. She played piano for the Senior Citizen's Center of Calhoun County and was involved in the Hogskin Holiday Festival. Judy was very involved in her church, Antioch Baptist in Hampton, where she was secretary, treasurer and bookkeeper, an active member, volunteer, choir member, soloist, and pianist. She dearly loved her family and gathered her loved ones around for feasts at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Through the years she kept and loved many pets. Judy was survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Philip Oliver; her son, Michael Alan (Krista) Nowlin; her daughter, Lynn (David) Bryant; her sisters, Betty Jo Reddin Morrison and Ira Bea Reddin (Bob) Huggins; her grandchildren, Lisa (Bradley) Duncan, Haley (Jeremy "Hub") Duncan, Blake (Cassandra) Bryant, Brice Bryant, Shai Nowlin, Cody Nowlin, Rebecca Nowlin, Audrey Nowlin, Allison Beck; her great-grandchildren, Brady Duncan, Marlei Duncan, Morgan Duncan, Chelsea Duncan, Kenijo Duncan, Beau Bryant, Braxton Bryant, Taylor Warthan; one uncle, Gervas "Doc" Thomason; one aunt, Alieta Roland Reddin; mother-in-law, Ella Mae (Don) Parrott; brother-in-law, Bobby Lee (Josie) Oliver; and a host of nieces and nephews and many cousins. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Nutt officiating.
