Vera A. Wells

Vera A. Wells, 98, of Fordyce, died Monday, January 2, 2012. She was born January 29, 1913 in Cleveland County to the late Joel C. and Fannie E. Hillman Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband Coyle D. Wells; daughter, Barbara Barnes; brothers, Oliver, Ottis, Orvis, Odell, and Olen Rogers; and sister, Victoria Morehead. She is survived by her son, Travis Wells and wife Carolyn of Fordyce; son-in-law, Homer Dean Barnes of Fordyce; sister, Vivian Nash; grandchildren, Donna Hart of Fordyce; Tracy Barnes of Gosnell; Karen Moffett of Sheridan; Sheila Gaither of Belmopan, Belize; and Craig Wells of Prattsville; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation is Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce.
