Greta Caston Lyon, 78, of Conway, formerly of Warren and Monticello, died Monday, January 2, 2012 after a long struggle with a cerebral tumor. She was born November 21, 1933 in Louann, Ark., a daughter of the late James P. Caston and Virgie Parsons Caston. She was a 1951 graduate of Hope High School. She died after a massive stroke, in hospice at Conway Regional Medical Center, peacefully and without pain, with her sons Steve and Greg Gough beside her. She was a retired secretary with Potlatch Corporation and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. "Jack" Lyon, her former husband, Charles Gough, and a brother, Terry Caston. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Greg's wife Alicia Gough; their children Elizabeth Ann Gough and Geoffrey Gough, of Conway, and Steve's wife Katherine Poulos of Carbondale, Ill. Also surviving are five sisters, Jo Mouhot, Granbury, Texas; Callie Smith, Port Allen, La.; Virgie Sinyard, Hope, Ark.; Barbara Vick, Houston, Texas and Mary Alice Cash, Warren, Ark.; two brothers, James Caston, Red Oak, Texas and Charles Caston, Lindale, Texas. A memorial service will be held on January 13, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Diamondhead Community Church at 141 East Highway 171 in Hot Springs.
