Jimmie Eugene Trost, 76, of Little Rock, passed away January 3, 2012. Born December 25, 1935, in Leedey Oklahoma, he was the youngest son of the late Herbert Trost and the late Cecelia Trautman Trost of Green Forest, Arkansas. He is also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. He married in Hamburg Arkansas, April 6, 1969, to Sue Witherington and is survived by wife Sue of the home, daughter, Margaret Trost, San Antonio, Texas, and daughter Lt. Col.- select Jennifer Vecchione, Vandenberg AFB, son-in-law, Scott Vecchione and grandson, Sijan Nickolas of Santa Maria, Calif. He is also survived by two sisters, Beatrice Wiser, Clarksville, Ark. and Eunice Wise, Beebe, Ark., as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Trost graduated from Green Forest High School and a barber college, served in the U.S. Army, attended Arkansas Technical College, and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) and retired as a civil engineer with the Survey & Maintenance Division of the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department. After retirement, he served part-time as a disaster relief professional with the Federal Emergency Management Administration. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. and funeral service at 2 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2012 at Temple Baptist Church in Little Rock, where he served as a Deacon. Reverend Aaron Ledford, Dr. Joel Slayton and Reverend Jerry Kidd will be officiating. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501) 224-8300. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Egypt Cemetery in Hamburg, Arkansas by Jones Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg. Pallbearers are John Witherington, Bobby J. Witherington, Billy F. Burnett, Winston Foster, Mark Mizell, Eddie Edwards, Garay Holland, Ron Ross and Larry Trost. Honorary pallbearers are the Open Door Sunday School Class and Deacons.
