Casey Lamont Harrold

Casey Lamont Harrod, 83, of Ward, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer January 14, 2012. He was born in Little Rock on May 13, 1928, to Wilbur and Lillian (Cook) Harrod. He graduated Cabot High School and followed his older brother, TJ, into the US Navy. A World War II Navy veteran aboard the USS Benevolence, he witnessed Operation Crossroads, the atomic blasts over Bikini Atoll. He retired from 20 years as a United Auto Worker in Detroit, Mich., and returned to his childhood home in Cabot. Lamont is preceded in death by his brother, TJ Harrod of Ward. He is survived by his nephew, Michael Harrod of Cabot. Arrangements made by Arkansas Funeral Care, Jacksonville.
