Pauline Risher

Pauline Risher, age 95, of Crossett, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Cherry Ridge Rest Home. She was born on September 28, 1916 to her parents, Pat and Ola Croswell Sivils. Mrs. Risher was a lifelong resident of Ashley County and was a member of South Crossett Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Horace Goodwin and her second husband of 50 years, Henry Risher; a son, Joe Risher and his wife, Hazel; her brothers, L.C. Sivils, Doyls Sivils, Clarence Sivils, Melvin Sivils and a grandson, Chuck Goodwin. Survivors include one son, Charles Goodwin and wife, Betty of Crossett, Ark.; her daughters, Martha Smith and husband, Charles of Crossett, Ark., Peggy Walpole and husband, Bob of Houston, Texas, Nancy Nason and husband, Steve of Ville Platte. La.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com) Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
