James Cicero "Jay" Steen

James Cicero "Jay" Steen, age 74, of Western Grove, Arkansas passed away January 16, 2012 at Hospice of the Hills in Harrison. He was born September 25, 1937 in Dongola, Ark. to the late Cicero Steen and Syble Steen. Jay was a retired drywall contractor from the Chicagoland area for 32 years. He was a devoted husband and father with his favorite times including hunting & fishing and anytime spent with his grandchildren: Krista Coonts, Shelby Coonts, Taylor Steen and Hannah Steen. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Alberta (Choate) Steen; one son: Ken Steen and his wife Diane of Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Sheri Coonts and her husband Glenn of Jacksonville, Ark.; one brother, Alfred Steen of Marshall, two sisters, Lena Fay Wallis of Marshall, Ark. and Nina May McGoveran of Branson West, Mo. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Dennis Sisco offciating. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Western Grove Cemetery.
