James H. Morphew

James H. Morphew, age 77, of Cabot, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at his home. He was born April 16, 1934 in Morton Arkansas to the late Henry Clay and Eva Morphew. In 1955 James married Juanita Rye in Greenville, Mississippi. He served as a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army for 26 years before retiring in 1977. He is survived by his wife, Juanita of the home; two sons, James H. Morphew II of Heber Springs, Kirk G. Morphew of Jefferson, Texas; four grandchildren, Jamie Morphew of Katy, Texas, Alicia Morphew of Ft. Worth, Texas, Brianna and James K. Morphew of Jefferson, Teas; brother, Charles Wayne and his wife Deanna Morphew of Conway; sister, Joann and her husband, Freddie Abshure of Lonoke; a very special aunt, Lura Summers of Memphis, Tennessee. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
