Nona Faye Sherer

NONA FAYE SHERER, 70, 0f North Little Rock, died Jan. 20, 2012 in Mountain View, Ark. Born Aug. 21, 1941 in Fifty-six, Ark., she was the daughter of Luther and Julia Coyle Lancaster. She was a retired nurse, and of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Sherer Sr.; two brothers, Carl and Olen Lancaster, and a sister, Verlie Lancaster Shipman. She is survived by sons, Lewis Sherer and his wife, Mechelle of North Little Rock and Gregory Sherer of Mountain View; a sister, Fern Tinkle of Mountain View; grandchildren, Amber Sherer of Mountain View, Travis Sherer of North Little Rock, and Savannah McClendon of Senatobia, Miss., and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. A private family service will be held with interment next to her husband in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials may be made to your local humane society.
