Hazel A. Tedford Abshure, 96, of Lonoke, Arkansas, died Sunday, January 22, 2012. She was born on February 19, 1915 to Mode Tedford and Bessie Northcutt Tedford of Lonoke. She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and was retired from Kellwood in Lonoke. Hazel was preceded in death by her father and mother; two brothers, Dalton and Doyne Tedford; sister, Floy Tedford; husband, Will W. Abshure; four sons, Ray Abshure, Roger (R. L.) Abshure, Willie F. Abshure; infant son William D. Abshure; and one grandson, Mark Abshure. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Sue Brown (Fred) of Bryant; two sons, Freddie G. Abshure (JoAnn) of Lonoke and Ronnie Abshure (Rita) of Austin; one sister, Bulah Pack of Lonoke; two daughters-in-law, Kathryn Abshure of Austin and Mary Abshure of Lonoke. Hazel is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. We would like to give a very special thanks to Golden Years Manor nursing staff for the wonderful care and special love that they showed to Hazel "Bug," our mother, the last five years. A special thanks to the nurses, CNAs and all the staff. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, with burial in Salem Cemetery. The family will gather at the home of Freddie Abshure, 2178 Clay Hill Rd., Lonoke.
