Mr. Phillip David Hout Jr., departed this life unexpectedly, on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, with his wife by his side, at his home in Langhorne, Pa. He was 47 years old. David was born March 13, 1964, at Newport, Ark., the youngest child of Phillip David Hout Sr. and Donna Gene (Orendorff) Hout. He spent his growing-up years in the place he still considered home, Newport, Ark. David was a 1982 graduate of Newport High School. David's senior year, he was a vital part of the Newport Greyhound football team, which won the 1981 Arkansas State AAA Championship. David graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in 1986 with a degree in business administration. While at ASU, he played football for the Arkansas State University Indians for two and a half years. After graduating, he began his career in the pharmaceutical industry. He married Miss Desha Biles at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Newport on June 16, 2001. They made their home together in Dallas, Texas until moving to Langhorne, Pa. in 2011, when David accepted a position with Novo Nordisk as assistant director of institutional portfolio marketing. He and Desha were members of Christ Church in Dallas, where they were active in Bible study groups. David Hout was known as a man with a passion for living. During his 47 years on this Earth, he lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed his career and the people he worked with, he enjoyed weight-lifting, golfing, cooking, and story-telling. Perhaps the hobby he most enjoyed was duck hunting. As a small boy, David and his Dad spent many hours in the duck woods. When his sons became old enough, the love of duck hunting was passed down as the three generations of Hout men enjoyed their time together in the wetlands of Jackson County. David's family was the greatest love of his life, and more than anything he loved spending time with his wife, Desha, and his sons, Phillip and Jacob. The passing of Phillip David Hout Jr. leaves an enormous void in many hearts. He will always be remembered for his passion and love of life, family and friends. His bright smile and hearty laugh will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his father and dearest friend, Phillip David Hout Sr. on June 2, 2009. Mr. Hout is survived by his beloved wife, Desha (Biles) Hout of the home; two sons, Phillip David Hout III and William Jacob Hout, both of Jonesboro; his mother, Donna (Orendorff) Childers and husband Don, of Little Rock; his step-mother, Ann Hout of Newport, Ark.; two sisters, Kimberly Hout Ellis and husband Charles of Little Rock, Arkansas and Pam Hout Wallace and husband, David of Cabot, Ark.; nieces and nephews, Stacy Allen, Jud Shumate, Lindsay Hoggatt, Jennifer Wallace; two great-nephews; one great-niece; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bonnie and Robert Biles of Hot Springs, Ark.; and a lifetime of friends.
