Mrs. Juanita Mae Stevens of Dermott passed away at the age of 85 on Sunday, April 29, 2012. Mrs. Stevens was born on January 12, 1927, to the late Roy Felix Masters and Essie Etta (Goff) Masters in Perry, Okla. Mrs. Stevens was married to the late Frank Elson Stevens for 51 years. She is survived by her children: Renee Skiff (Randall) of Houston, Texas, Norris Stevens (Gloria) of Dermott, Cheryl Bramos (Ron) of Coconut Creek, Fla. and Jamie Fresen (Monica) of Kapolei, Hawaii; 10 grandchildren: Eric and Joel Stevens, Lisa Stevens Woody, Steven Skiff, Jami Skiff Swift, Maegan Bramos Wallace, Joshua, Jacob & Luke Bramos and Amber Carter; step-grandchildren: Shane Parker, Scotty Parker, Stanley Parker, and Serina Parker Simpson; seven great-grandchildren: Cole and Thomas Stevens, Jordyn Swift, Rylie and Felix Skiff, Weston Wallace, and Nash Bramos; bothers: Lorin and Howard Masters and sisters: Harriet Ellis, Laurine Hoard, and Adah Holcomb. Mrs. Stevens lived in the Bellaire community for over 60 years. She was a member of the Bellaire Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was devoted to her family and was considered their prayer warrior. She worked at Wells Lamont, Glamorize, trained to be a respiratory therapist and worked at Dermott and Lake Village hospitals. She finished her working career as Supervisor of Housekeeping at the Dermot City Nursing Home at the age of 74. Visitation will be at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee on Wednesday May 2, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday May 3, 2012 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. before service. The funeral will be held at Bellaire Baptist Church on Thursday May 3, 2012 at 1:30pm with Rev. Brett Lee and Rev. Ron Bramos officiating. Burial will follow the service at Dermott City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bellaire Baptist Church, 2596 Hwy 65 N. Dermott, Ark. 71638 or the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, 222 W. Pope St., Monticello, Ark. 71655.
