Henry Burton Cook
Lieutenant Commander Henry B. Cook, U.S. Navy Retired, 78, of West Memphis, Arkansas died Monday April 30, 2012 at Crittenden Regional Hospital. Mr. Cook was a retired Lieutenant Commander from the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Mr. Cook was also a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Arkansas Breeder Club, and a member of the National Greyhound Association.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Jean Hull Cook; parents, Wiley and Jewel Cook; one brother, Thomas Cook and one sister Rose Sims. He is survived by his wife, Gwinda Colson Cook; two daughters, Jane Sevin of Houma, La. and Joyce Cummins of Crossett, Ark.; two sons, Tom Cook of West Memphis, Ark. and Jerry Cook of Cabot, Ark.; four grandchildren, Brittany Cummins, Casey Dison, Jessi Cook and Hannah Sevin; one great-grandchild, Camden Cook; two brothers, Wiley Cook of Albany, Ga. and Lee Cook of Cordele, Ga.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Services will be Wednesday, May 2, 2012 10 a.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home with interment following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark.
