George Henry Eagen

George Henry Eagen of Little Rock, passed away April 25, 2012. He was born to Dorothy Laing Eagen, and George Leonard Eagen, on January 23, 1920 in Dallas, Texas. He went all through school there; and attended SMU, before entering the Army in World War II. He came to Little Rock in 1963, to work for Small Business Admin. At that time he met Charlotte W. Bone; and they married in Chicago in June, 1965. Moving back in 1967, they lived in Sherwood, until retirement, when they moved to an assisted living community in 1995. George was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three siblings, and a step-grandson. He is survived by a step-daughter, Anne Brantley, and her husband Dr. Richard Brantley; a step-grandson, Sam Sylar and his family, of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Pauline Eagen, of Cocoa, Fla., and two nieces. Graveside services will be at Elmlawn Cemetery, at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 4; with the Rev. Karen Akin of Second Presbyterian Church officiating. The family would like to extend special thanks to Valley Ranch Nursing Home, and to Hospice Home Care. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Second Pres.
