Emma Mae Marshall

Emma Mae Marshall, 86, of Star City, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock. She was born Nov. 10, 1925, at Mena, to Ansel Halvert and Camelia Susan Bliss Jones. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Virgil E. Marshall, and six brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Pat Marshall of Pottsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jewell and Troy Willis of Jacksonville, and Marilyn and Noel Deweese of Star City; a brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Jackie Jones of Vicksburg, Miss.; a sister and brother-in-law, Anna Jo and Bill Thomas of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Joel Holmes. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery near Atkins, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
