Laurence E. Shook

Laurence Eugene Shook, 71, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and served as postmaster at St. Charles and Carlisle. He was preceded in death by parents, Orel and Frances Skarda Shook and brother, Kenneth Shook. Laurence is survived by his wife, Thelma; son, Glen Shook; daughter, Karen Brewer; grandchildren, Richard, Jennifer, and Kady Shook, Jacob and Clayton Cole and Britney Froehle; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family wishes to extend their appreciation for kind and loving care provided by the staff of Chambers Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Graveside service 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Center Point Cemetery, casual attire.
