Raymond A. Bradley, 87, of Little Rock, died Monday, May 7, 2012 at his home. He was born September 26, 1924 in Little Rock. The son of the late R.L. and Myrtle Stubbs Bradley, he was also preceded in death by his son, Bill Bradley. He graduated from Little Rock Senior High School and joined the United States Air Force during WWII. He flew the P61 Night Fighter, but did not see combat because the war ended. While in the Air Force, Raymond made friendships which would last the rest of his life. After WWII, he graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, with a B.A. in Business. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. After graduating from Arkansas, he worked for 30 years at American Airlines, where he retired. Raymond was an avid painter, photographer, and traveler. He traveled all over the United States and Canada and, at 75, journeyed across Africa. He continued traveling into his 80's to places including the Baja Peninsula and Alaska. When his grandkids were born, he learned to use the computer and volunteered at Senior Net through UAMS, teaching seniors how to use their computers and software. Raymond was much involved in the lives of his grandkids as friend, driver, helper, and photographer of all their school and sporting events. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dottie Bradley, sister, Burnelle Johnson, daughter, Dr. Leslie (Bradley) Stansell, son-in-law, Greg Stansell, grandsons, Benjamin and Jacob Stansell, and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Griffin-Leggett Healey and Roth funeral home, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock, Ark. (501) 661-9111. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, at Pine Crest Memorial Park, Alexander, under the direction of the funeral home.
