Vivian Elise Hays, 85, of Benton passed away on Tuesday, May 8th, 2012. She was born on September 28th, 1926 in Bristow, Oklahoma to the late Vivian Crouch and Jack Edgar Richardson. She attended Northeast High School in Oklahoma City and O.S.U. in Stillwater. She married the love of her life, Dick Hays, in 1948. They owned Mariner's Cove and The Leather Bottle in Little Rock. She was a member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking, reading, bird watching and being with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, her parents, her brother Jack Richardson, Jr and her son-in-law, Jerry Sims. She is survived by her daughters, Leslie Sims of Maumelle, Ark. and Lynn Zimmerebner (Mike) of Benton, Ark.; her son, Larry Hays (Linda) of Denver, Colo.; her granddaughter, Kristin Rachel (John) of Bauxite, Ark.; her grandsons, Matt Gunn of Fayetteville, Ark., Pat Gunn (Natalie) of Maumelle, Ark., Kyle Gunn of Fayetteville, Ark., Mike Zimmerebner of Savannah, Ga.; her sister, Mary Legg (Warren) of Burneyville, Okla.; eight nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, May 13th, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home. Memorial service will be on Monday, May 14th, at 11 a.m. in the gazebo at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Chaplain Brad Vaden officiating. Inurnment will be private. The family wishes to extend our special thanks to the DaVita Care Team and to the exceptional staff of Arkansas Hospice. Our heartfelt thanks go to her caregivers Lynn and Mike Zimmerebner.
